Ather Energy shares dip after Rs 1,300 crore QIP
Ather Energy, a company that makes electric scooters, recently raised Rs 1,300 crore from big investors through a special share sale.
Even though many investors wanted to buy these shares, the company's stock price went down a little bit.
This money will help Ather Energy grow, build better scooters, and set up more charging stations.
The company is doing better financially, with smaller losses compared to last year.
Investors might be worried about the stock price, but the company is happy because it now has more money to expand and improve.
Ather Energy raised Rs 1,300 crore via QIP, allotting 1,08,15,307 shares at Rs 1,202 each.
Shares dipped about 3% in early trade, reaching an intraday low of Rs 1,258.
The QIP was oversubscribed more than eight times by domestic and global investors.
Proceeds will strengthen the balance sheet, reduce debt, and fund growth initiatives.
Ather Energy's net loss narrowed to Rs 100.23 crore in Q4 FY24 from Rs 234.36 crore in the previous year.
The company is expanding its presence in India's electric two-wheeler market with the Ather Rizta scooter and Ather Grid charging network.
