Dhadak 2: Bold, Powerful, Incendiary Caste-Crossed Romance
Dhadak 2 is a new movie about a love story where a law student, Neelesh, who is from a lower caste, falls in love with Viddhi, who is from a higher caste.
The movie is based on an older Tamil film and talks about how difficult it is to be in love when there are caste differences.
The film shows how the two lovers face problems because of their caste background.
The movie also touches on the importance of legal protections against casteism.
Dhadak 2, directed by Shazia Iqbal, is a Hindi adaptation of the Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal.
The film explores a caste-crossed romance between Neelesh (Dalit) and Viddhi (upper caste) in a North Indian city.
Viddhi is portrayed as a strong character, offering support and companionship to Neelesh.
The movie highlights issues like caste discrimination, reservations in colleges, and legal protections against caste atrocities.
Performances by Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi, the lead actors, have been positively received.
