UIDAI, Army Launch Aadhaar Camps for 17,480 Tamulpur Students

Aadhaar uses fingerprints and other details to help identify people.

Children are supposed to update their Aadhaar biometrics at ages 5 and 15.

Many students in Tamulpur have not completed these updates.

UIDAI, the Indian Army and the district administration started special camps to help them.

The first camp took place at Naokata Milan H S School.

More camps will be held at schools throughout the district.

Officials found that 17,480 students need the update.

Current biometric information can help students use services that require Aadhaar authentication.
