Trump Cabinet’s Women Officials Depart, Leaving Fewer Women in Leadership

When Donald Trump returned as president, his Cabinet included more women than any previous Republican administration.

Since then, several senior women have left their jobs.

Some departures were described as personal decisions involving family or health.

Others were announced as moves to new private-sector roles or were described as firings.

The women who left included Karoline Leavitt, Pam Bondi, Kristi Noem, Tulsi Gabbard, and Lori Chavez-DeRemer.

News reports cited by the article suggested that some departures also involved disagreements or controversies.

As a result, fewer than one-quarter of Cabinet-level roles are now held by women.

Susie Wiles is still a major female leader as White House chief of staff.

Other women remain in the administration, but the Cabinet is now described as being dominated by white men.
