Hernandez Seeks Dismissal of Charges After Trump Pardon

Juan Orlando Hernandez, who was the President of Honduras from 2014 to 2022, was sentenced to 45 years in the U.S. for cocaine trafficking.

He was pardoned by Donald Trump and is now returning to Honduras.

He wants the local charges of fraud and money laundering against him to be dismissed.

He says the case was politically motivated and hopes for the same outcome as others in the Pandora II case.

Legal experts are divided on how he will fare.

Hernandez also mentioned that he might run for office again in the future.
