AI ‘Nudify’ Apps Remain on Apple, Google Stores

Apple and Google's app stores have many apps that use AI to make fake nude pictures of real people.

These apps can be used to take clothes off of pictures or put faces on nude bodies.

A group called Tech Transparency Project found 55 of these apps on Google's store and 47 on Apple's store.

These apps have been downloaded over 700 million times and made over $117 million.

Some of these apps are even rated okay for teens and kids.

Both Apple and Google have started to remove some of these apps, but not all.

This is a big problem because these fake pictures can hurt people, especially women and children.

It's also illegal to make these kinds of pictures of kids, but the tools to make them are not illegal.

Some people are saying these apps should be banned.
