APCPDCL Orders Measures for Uninterrupted Power and Lower Losses
APCPDCL wants homes and farms to receive electricity reliably.
Its chairman, P. Pulla Reddy, held a meeting with senior officials in Vijayawada.
They discussed power cuts, customer complaints, damaged equipment and electrical safety.
Officials were told to find weak parts of the network before they fail.
They must repair overloaded transformers and feeders that trip often.
They will also work to manage higher electricity demand and reduce losses.
Several projects will strengthen substations and power lines.
People can request new connections online, through an app or by calling 1912.
Officials will prepare for weather problems and warn people about dangerous wires and wet equipment.
APCPDCL CMD P. Pulla Reddy directed officials to improve power quality and reliability through stronger supervision and preventive maintenance.
Officials reviewed supply interruptions, complaints, revenue collection, line losses, theft prevention, safety and network performance.
Frequent feeder trips, overloaded transformers and vulnerable lines must be identified and corrected before failures occur.
APCPDCL will advance load balancing, capacity upgrades, transformer maintenance and feeder and substation-strengthening projects.
Consumers can apply for new connections through the 1912 service, APCPDCL website or mobile app without visiting Mee Seva centres.
