MLP Playoff Byes: Advantage or Risk for Top Teams

A sport called Major League Pickleball is getting ready for its playoffs.

The top four teams in the league get a special treat called a bye.

A bye means they skip one round and get extra rest.

But sometimes resting is not the best thing.

Teams that skip a round do not get to play an important game.

The teams that do play learn how to handle pressure.

Four teams are playing games this weekend in Dallas.

Those games will help them get ready for the big event in Newport Beach.

The bye teams will not have that chance to warm up in a real game.

So having a bye can be both a good thing and a risky thing.
