Survey Halted Amid Narayanpur Village Land Dispute
In a village called Narayanpur, people had a big argument about a project to build a reservoir.
The government wants to buy 40 houses near the reservoir to make it stronger.
But some villagers want the whole village to be part of the project.
When officials came to check the houses, the villagers who didn't want their houses bought started protesting.
This led to a fight, and the police had to step in.
Because of the fight, the officials had to leave without doing their job.
Both groups then went to the police to complain about each other.
Tension arose in Narayanpur village over the proposed acquisition of 40 houses for the Narayanpur reservoir project.
Two groups of villagers clashed: one supporting the acquisition of 40 houses, the other demanding the entire village be acquired.
The protest led to a scuffle, prompting police intervention and the suspension of the house survey.
Both groups lodged complaints with the Gangadhara police, who are investigating the incident.
