How to Recover a Hacked WhatsApp Account
If someone else takes over your WhatsApp account, this guide explains how to ask WhatsApp for help.
First, it says to turn off call forwarding by dialing ##21#.
Then open WhatsApp’s authorised recovery form.
Choose the option that says your account was hacked.
Enter the phone number linked to the account and explain that you cannot log in.
Add the requested contact details and your name.
Check your email address carefully and finish the form.
The guide says the other person may be logged out within a few hours.
After that, register your number on WhatsApp again using the new code you receive.
The guide recommends dialing ##21# to turn off call forwarding before starting recovery.
Use WhatsApp’s authorised contact form for hacked or impersonated accounts.
Select “My account has been hacked” and provide the affected phone number and account details.
Describe the login problem, provide contact information and complete the form’s electronic signature.
After submitting the request, the attacker may be logged out within a few hours; then register the number again using a fresh OTP.
