India-US Ties Tested in 2025
In 2025, more than 24,600 Indians were sent back to India from 81 different countries.
Saudi Arabia sent back the most Indians, over 11,000 in total from 2021 to 2025, which is a lot more than any other country.
The United States sent back about 3,800 Indians in 2025, which is the highest number in the last five years.
The main reasons for these deportations include staying too long on a visa, working without permission, breaking labor laws, and facing legal problems.
The information was shared by the Ministry of External Affairs in the Parliament.
It shows that many Indians who were living or visiting other countries had to return to India.
