Latur Police Launch Second Phase of Student Dialogue Initiative
Latur police are starting a new program to talk with students in schools, colleges, and coaching centers.
They will visit 558 schools, 91 colleges, and 48 coaching centers to teach kids about laws, how to stay safe online, and how to avoid drugs.
The program began a first phase that reached over a million students, and this second phase will reach more than two million.
Police officers want to show that they are friendly helpers, not scary.
They also want students to feel safe and know how to ask for help if needed.
Latur police will begin second phase of “Police‑Student Dialogue” on Aug 1.
The program will reach 2.23 lakh students in 558 schools, 91 colleges and 48 coaching centres.
Sessions will cover new criminal laws, cybercrime, road safety, social‑media use and the Arms Act.
Police aim to dispel fears, promote approachability and encourage drug‑free, safe lifestyles.
The initiative follows a first phase that engaged 1.17 lakh students across 362 schools, 100 colleges and 46 coaching institutes.
