Tamil Nadu Announces Expanded Support for Adi Dravida Hostels

Tamil Nadu’s Chief Minister visited a hostel for Adi Dravida students and heard their complaints.

After that, the government announced more help for students living in these hostels.

Each student will receive more money for food every month.

Hostels will also receive more money for repairs and maintenance.

A new organisation called Aran will supervise the hostels and help solve complaints quickly.

Ambedkar reading centres will be built to help students study and prepare for exams.

The government also plans to build 150 new hostels and improve schools and community facilities.

Other plans include new houses, business support, loans and a cultural centre for tribal communities.
