US Judge Rejects Ghislaine Maxwell's Bid to Overturn Sex-Trafficking Conviction

US Judge Rejects Ghislaine Maxwell's Bid to Overturn Sex-Trafficking Conviction

Ghislaine Maxwell asked a US judge to cancel her conviction.

She was convicted of helping Jeffrey Epstein obtain underage girls.

The judge rejected her request.

He said her claims about unfair treatment during her trial and sentencing were not valid.

Maxwell is serving a 20-year prison sentence.

The Supreme Court also declined to hear her appeal last October.

Epstein died in a New York jail in 2019 before his own trial.

Maxwell later refused to answer Congress’s questions unless President Trump granted her clemency.

The case remains under public attention because investigative files about Epstein have been released.
