GTU Exam Errors: Committee Recommends Grace Marks and Action
The GTU's math exam had mistakes that made it hard for students to answer.
A group of experts looked at the paper and decided to give students extra points, maybe up to 18.
They also want to punish the teacher who made the exam.
The teacher might not get paid for some of their past work and won't be able to make exams for a while.
The university is going to fix things so students are treated fairly, even if the questions were wrong.
The goal is to make sure students are not penalized due to exam errors.
Errors were found in the GTU Semester 2 Applied Mathematics exam.
A five-member committee recommended up to 18 grace marks for affected students.
The committee also suggested disciplinary action against the question paper setter.
Over 25,000 students from about 120 colleges in Gujarat appeared for the exam.
Corrections were issued, but some students didn't receive the updates in time.
