NSCN (IM) Marks 10 Years of Agreement, Renews Sovereignty Pitch

Imagine the Naga people and the Indian government made a big promise 10 years ago, called the Framework Agreement, about the Nagas having their own rights.

Now, the NSCN (IM) group, a major Naga group, is celebrating this anniversary.

Their leader says they will not give up on these rights, but they feel the government is taking too long to make the promise real.

He also criticized another group, the NNPGs, for having different ideas about how to solve things, especially about how much freedom the Naga people should have.

He thinks the NNPGs are not acting independently and that they want the Naga people to be part of India.
