Machado Gives Nobel Medal to Trump
Maria Corina Machado, a leader from Venezuela who won the Nobel Peace Prize, gave her medal to US President Donald Trump.
She did this to thank him for helping her country.
Trump was happy and said it was a nice gift.
But the people who give out the Nobel Peace Prize said that even though the medal can be given to someone else, the title of being a Nobel Peace Prize winner cannot be shared or given away.
Machado said she wants to be the president of Venezuela when the right time comes.
Trump, however, does not think she has enough support.
Instead, the US is talking to another leader in Venezuela named Delcy Rodríguez.
Machado's supporters believe she can lead Venezuela, but some people, including Trump, are not sure.
Machado met with US lawmakers and had supporters chanting for her.
Meanwhile, Rodríguez is talking to the US about working together and making changes in Venezuela's oil industry.
Some people think Machado's actions are wrong because she is supporting Trump's actions in Venezuela, which they say are not fair or legal.
They think she is doing this to become powerful, not to help her country.
Maria Corina Machado presented her Nobel Peace Prize medal to US President Donald Trump at the White House.
Trump accepted the medal, calling it a 'gesture of mutual respect' and thanked Machado on social media.
The Nobel Peace Center in Oslo clarified that while the medal can change owners, the title of a Nobel Peace Prize laureate cannot be revoked, shared, or transferred.
Machado praised Trump's actions in Venezuela, stating that his intervention was a 'huge step towards a democratic transition'.
Trump has long coveted the Nobel Peace Prize and has been nominated by leaders of several states, including Ukraine, Cambodia, and Pakistan.
