Mumbai-Pune Expressway Faces First Ganeshotsav Rush After Missing Link Opens

The Mumbai-Pune Expressway became very crowded before the Ganeshotsav festival.

Many people were traveling to their hometowns, especially toward Konkan.

A new road section called the Missing Link opened on May 1.

It helped reduce traffic at the Borghat section during normal travel.

However, many vehicles entered the expressway at the same time for the festival.

This caused long lines again on the Pune-bound side.

Police and traffic teams are working to keep vehicles moving.

The rush will show whether the whole road system can handle festival traffic.
