SEBI Bars Debock Industries, Mukesh Singh for Seven Years

India’s market regulator, SEBI, punished Debock Industries and several people.

SEBI said the company made its financial results look better by recording sales and purchases that did not really happen.

It also alleged that the company used complicated transactions and forged bank statements.

The regulator said these actions helped the company increase its share capital and sell shares to investors.

SEBI ordered the company and its managing director, Mukesh Singh, to stay out of the securities market for seven years.

It also ordered the company to bring back ₹49 crore allegedly diverted from a rights issue, plus interest.

Several people were ordered to give up money that SEBI considered unlawful gains.

Other individuals and entities received market bans and financial penalties of varying lengths and amounts.
