Orbitt Space Aims to Pioneer Ultra-Low Earth Orbit Satellites
Orbitt Space wants to put satellites very close to Earth in a zone called ULEO.
This area has a little air, which can slow satellites down.
The company is building a special engine to help satellites stay up longer.
This will allow for better imaging and faster communication.
They plan to test their tech soon and start using it in about four years.
They got funding to build this tech with help from ISRO and other organizations.
Orbitt Space, based in Ahmedabad, is focusing on ultra-low earth orbit (ULEO) for satellite operations.
The company was founded by former ISRO scientists Christopher Parmar and Anupam Kumar.
Orbitt Space is developing electric propulsion technology to counteract atmospheric drag in ULEO.
The company aims to offer services like earth observation and low-latency telecommunications.
Orbitt Space raised $1 million in pre-seed funding and is supported by IN-SPACe and IIM-Ahmedabad.
