Palghar Family Alleges Police Refused FIR in Girl's Assault Case

A 10-year-old girl in Palghar, India, was hurt by her uncle, who is 50 years old.

Her parents say the uncle did something very bad to her at night on July 21.

After that, the girl was very sad and scared.

She stopped going to school and got sick.

Her mother asked her what was wrong, and the girl told her what happened.

The family went to the police to report it, but the police did not write down their complaint.

The family says the police even scared them and made threats.

The family then asked a higher police officer, called the DGP, for help.

The police chief in Palghar says they will look into what happened.
