73,000 UP Rural Women Become Lakhpati Didis Through Dairy Model

In a place called Uttar Pradesh in India, many women live in villages and take care of cows and buffaloes.

They collect milk from the animals every day.

Before, other people used to buy the milk and decide the price, and the women did not always know how much money they would get.

Now, the government has started a new program to help these women.

The women use phones and special machines to check how much milk they have and how good it is.

They can see the price and their payment on the machine, so everything is fair and clear.

More than 73,000 women have become 'Lakhpati Didis,' which means they earn a lot of money from their dairy work.

The women now manage the whole milk business themselves, from collecting milk to selling it.

This helps them pay for their children's school and other family needs.

The program is helping women become stronger and more independent.
