West Bengal Police Establishes Dedicated AI Cell
The West Bengal Police is creating a special team called the AI Cell.
This team will help the police use smart computer technology, known as AI, to do their jobs better.
They want to make things faster and more open for everyone.
A high-ranking police officer, an ADG, will be in charge.
Other experienced police officers and two tech experts will help them.
This cell will figure out how to use AI for police work, make rules to ensure it's used fairly, and train other police officers.
They will meet often to plan and decide how to use AI to help make important decisions.
The goal is to make the police force more modern and effective.
West Bengal Police is establishing a dedicated Artificial Intelligence (AI) Cell.
The Cell aims to enhance efficiency, transparency, and service delivery by promoting AI and emerging technologies.
An Additional Director General (ADG) rank officer will head the unit.
The Cell will include officers of IG, DIG, or SP rank for coordination, documentation, and monitoring.
