Hooda accuses BJP of bias in Haryana professor recruitment
Bhupinder Singh Hooda, a former chief minister of Haryana, has accused the BJP government of being unfair in a recent job exam for assistant professor positions.
He says that only a small number of people from Haryana were selected, which is less than 8%.
This has made many young people in Haryana upset because they feel they are not getting fair chances for jobs in their own state.
The Congress party has also questioned how many qualified candidates did not even pass the minimum required marks in the exam.
Some people think it's hard to believe that so many highly qualified candidates did not do well in the test.
Only 151 candidates qualified for the interview round out of 600 vacancies for assistant professor posts in Haryana's English departments.
Less than 8% of the selected candidates are from Haryana, according to Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
Congress leaders question how qualified candidates failed to secure the minimum 35% required in the subject knowledge test.
Hooda alleges that the BJP government is eliminating reservations in jobs, as very few candidates from reserved categories were selected.
Activists and aspirants express shock that many highly qualified candidates, including university toppers, did not secure the minimum score in the test.
