Lionel Messi Agrees to Buy Majority Stake in Eldense

Lionel Messi has agreed in principle to buy most of a Spanish football club called Eldense.

The agreement is only preliminary, so the purchase is not finished yet.

Lawyers and other officials must review the deal first.

Spain’s National Sports Council must also approve it.

Eldense plays in Spain’s second division.

The team has had a difficult start to the season and is near the bottom of the table.

Messi already owns part of another Spanish club, Cornella.

He is also still a player for Inter Miami.

The financial details of the proposed purchase have not been announced.
