Kerala to Appeal Dileep Acquittal in 2017 Actress Assault Case
A long time ago, in 2017, a group of men attacked and hurt an actress in her car.
The police caught some of the bad guys, and a famous actor named Dileep was also accused of being involved.
After a long trial, the court said Dileep was not guilty, but six other men were found guilty.
The government of Kerala is not happy with this decision and wants to appeal, meaning they want another court to look at the case again to make sure justice is served.
Dileep, however, says he was wrongly accused and that some police and media people tried to ruin his life.
Many people in the film industry are upset and feel that the verdict is not fair.
