After Final Home Loan EMI, Collect These Essential Documents
When you pay your last home loan EMI, the loan is finished.
However, you still need to collect important papers from the lender.
These may include the sale deed, allotment letter, approved building plan and other original property documents.
Check that every page is returned and is in good condition.
Ask for a closure letter and a No Dues Certificate to prove that nothing is left to pay.
You should also obtain an updated Non-Encumbrance Certificate from the registrar.
Make sure the lender removes its lien on the property.
This gives you full rights to sell the home later.
