Gujarat Boy Killed Amid Land Dispute and Witchcraft Claims
A young boy named Kevalji Thakor disappeared in a village in Gujarat.
Police allege that a villager named Savanji Thakor took him and killed him.
The boy’s family had argued with Savanji over a piece of land.
Savanji also reportedly believed the family was using witchcraft against his household.
The boy’s body was found in a nearby well the next day.
Police say the suspect confessed after being taken into custody.
Investigators are also looking again at the death of Kevalji’s older brother, Amitji, whose body was found in a river a year earlier.
Police have not yet determined whether Savanji was responsible for both deaths.
