SCTIMST Transfers Six New Medical Technologies
Scientists at SCTIMST have created and given away new medical technologies.
These technologies are meant to help doctors.
Some of these include a brain stimulator to assist with movement disorders, special electrodes for the brain, and a system to handle lab mice that helps with stress and fights unwanted behavior.
The technologies include small-scale plasma fractionation and wound dressing technologies.
The aim is to help India make its own medical devices and lessen reliance on imports.
SCTIMST transferred six new medical device technologies.
Deep Brain Stimulator tech was transferred.
Mice handling system technology was transferred.
Plasma proteins fractionation technology was transferred.
Intracranial and subdural electrodes technology was transferred.
Chitosan-based wound dressing technology was transferred.
