Sensex, Nifty Hit Three-Week Highs on Strong Earnings
The Sensex and Nifty are two big lists that show how many Indian companies are doing on the stock market.
On Friday, both lists went up a little bit, reaching their best levels in three weeks.
A company called Bajaj Finance made a lot of money, which helped lift the whole list.
Many foreign investors also bought Indian stocks, adding more money to the market.
Because of all this, the market felt good, but some people were still careful because interest rates might rise soon.
Sensex closed at 78,094.64, up 166 points, a three‑week high.
Nifty finished at 24,383.60, up 66 points, also a three‑week high.
Bajaj Finance posted a 28% rise in quarterly profit, boosting the index.
Foreign institutional investors bought ₹3,623.51 crore of shares.
Brent crude rose to $89.43 per barrel, supporting global markets.
