NSE IPO Highlights Exchange’s Scale, Dominance and Key Risks
NSE IPO: 26 crore investor accounts and 3,000+ listed companies — 10 numbers to know · businesstoday.in

The National Stock Exchange of India is planning to sell shares to the public through an IPO.

It has many investors, companies, and trading members using its platform.

As of June 30, 2026, it had 26.14 crore registered investor accounts.

It also had 3,005 listed entities and a market value of ₹474.08 lakh crore.

NSE handled most of India’s cash-market and equity-futures activity in FY26.

Its revenue was ₹16,601.31 crore, although revenue and operating earnings fell from the previous year.

The IPO will sell existing shares, so NSE itself will not receive money from the offering.

Analysts also identified regulation, higher taxes on securities transactions, and changing trading volumes as risks.
