SC Urges Romeo-Juliet Clause for Teen Relationships
The Supreme Court of India has asked the government to think about adding a special rule, called a Romeo-Juliet clause, to a law called the POCSO Act.
This law is meant to protect children from bad things, but sometimes it is used unfairly in cases where two young people are in a relationship they both agree to.
The Supreme Court said that this special rule could help make sure that only bad people are punished, not young people in love.
They also said that a lower court made some rules about checking ages in these cases, but the Supreme Court said those rules were not correct.
The Supreme Court wants the government to do something about this problem.
