In India, many people work as domestic helpers, cleaning houses and doing other chores.

Traditionally, these jobs are informal, meaning they are not regulated and workers often earn low wages.

Now, tech startups like Snabbit, Pronto, and Urban Company are changing this by offering app-based services.

Workers can get jobs through these apps, and they earn more money than they would through traditional arrangements.

For example, a worker named Heena Bibi earns about Rs 45,000 a month, which is three times what she would earn otherwise.

These apps also provide training and background checks to ensure quality service.

However, not everyone is happy with this change.

Some workers prefer the traditional system because it feels safer and more trustworthy.

Others worry that app-based work does not provide job security or benefits like pensions.

Despite these concerns, the app-based model is becoming more popular, offering flexibility and convenience to both workers and customers.
