Kolkata Police Probe Forged IDs Amid Militant Nexus Investigation

Kolkata Police are investigating people suspected of making fake government identity documents.

The documents include Voter ID cards and Aadhaar cards.

Police think some fake documents may have been used to get passports or visas.

They are checking whether the people making the documents were connected to militant groups.

Imran Hossain was arrested and is accused of helping Rana Rauf obtain travel documents.

Police also arrested Jinnatul Kibria and Shafiq Sheikh over alleged links to Al-Qaida.

Investigators say the two men used social media accounts to spread propaganda.

Police are now checking who helped the suspects enter or stay in Bengal and whether their documents were genuine.
