MP Eyes Species Swap: Tigers for Rare Wildlife
Madhya Pradesh wants to swap tigers for other rare animals or birds.
The Chief Minister directed the forest department to explore these options.
They plan to send 10 tigers to Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha.
In return, they want to get valuable species like the Great Indian Bustard (GIB), a rare bird.
However, getting the GIB might be tricky because it's currently in a breeding season.
The last time the GIB was seen in MP was in 1990.
Officials will explore options with other states to increase ecological diversity.
