India, US to Finalize 10-Year Defence Framework
India and the United States are planning to work together closely on defense for the next 10 years.
They'll sign a deal to help each other with things like weapons and military equipment.
The leaders of both countries have been talking about this, and they want to make sure they can work together well.
India is also getting some new Apache helicopters soon and wants to get parts for its planes faster.
This is all about the two countries being good friends when it comes to protecting themselves.
India and the US are set to sign a new 10-year defense framework.
The framework aims to expand strategic ties and defense industrial cooperation.
Discussions included expedited delivery of GE F404 engines for Tejas aircraft and Apache helicopters.
India is expected to receive three Apache helicopters by mid-July, with more in November.
Defense stocks, like HAL and BEML, gained after the framework announcement.
