Texans Face Injuries at Training Camp: Mixon, 11 Others Sidelined
The Houston Texans football team is starting their training camp with several players injured.
Star running back Joe Mixon hurt his ankle outside of team activities and is on a special injury list.
Eleven other players have injuries that prevent them from practicing, too.
Because some running backs are hurt, the team will have to rely on some of their new players to play in the meantime.
The team also released one player and signed another to help with their defense.
The team is hoping to have a successful season despite these early setbacks.
Joe Mixon and Alijah Huzzie are on the non-football injury list.
Eleven other players are on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.
Mixon's ankle injury occurred during the offseason and kept him out of spring practices.
The Texans waived Keydrain Calligan and signed Arthur Maulet.
The Texans will rely on Nick Chubb and Woody Marks in the absence of injured running backs.
