Luis Figo demands Infantino's resignation over FIFA investment scheme

Football is a sport played and loved all over the world.

A group called FIFA helps run the game, and its boss is a man named Gianni Infantino.

A famous former player named Luis Figo is very angry at Infantino.

Figo says Infantino wanted to secretly sell the World Cup, the biggest football competition, to rich investors.

Figo believes the plan was to give Infantino a huge job and lots of money, about $30 million a year.

Figo wrote a newspaper column saying Infantino should quit right away: 'Infantino must go.'

He said FIFA already has about $5 billion saved up, so it does not need outside investors.

Infantino is now holding urgent meetings in Morocco to try to keep his job.

Figo worries that this secret plan has hurt football's good name.
