NRI Pensioners Can Use Agents for Jeevan Pramaan Certificates

NRI Pensioners Can Use Agents for Jeevan Pramaan Certificates

Pensioners living outside India must usually provide a life certificate each year.

This certificate shows that they are still alive and eligible to receive their pension.

If an NRI pensioner cannot use the Jeevan Pramaan online system, an authorised agent may submit the certificate for them.

The pensioner does not have to travel to India just for this task.

However, an approved person must verify the certificate.

This could be a magistrate, notary, banker or Indian diplomatic representative.

Overseas pensioners may also use certain bank officials or Indian diplomatic missions.

These options are meant to help older people who have trouble with Aadhaar, biometrics, facial checks or digital services.
