Ram Temple Trust forms Dharmik Committee
The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has formed a nine-member Dharmik Committee of seers to oversee religious activities at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
This decision comes after a controversy over alleged theft of donations.
The committee will ensure all worship follows the Vedic Ramanandi tradition and will supervise the appointment and training of priests.
The Trust also decided to review its tie-up with the State Bank of India, which has been handling the counting of offerings.
Additionally, the Trust appointed a spokesperson to improve communication and deferred the appointment of its CEO by a month.
A Special Investigation Team has been formed to probe the alleged misappropriations.
