Main Accused Arrested in Banaskantha Rape and Conversion Case
Police in Gujarat arrested Akhtarshah Fakir in a serious case involving a woman’s allegations of rape and forced religious conversion.
The woman was 30 years old and pregnant when she says some of the incidents happened.
She alleged that Fakir and three relatives repeatedly assaulted and threatened her.
She also said they used a private video to blackmail her.
According to the complaint, she was taken to a ceremony where her name was changed.
She said she was later beaten and thrown out of a house.
Police have arrested Fakir but are still looking for his two brothers and uncle.
The allegations have not been established in court.
