Josh Hoey breaks 28-year-old 800m indoor record
Josh Hoey, an American runner, broke the world record for the men's 800m short track indoor race.
He ran the distance in 1:42.50, which is faster than the previous record of 1:42.67 set by Wilson Kipketer in 1997.
Josh's brother, Jaxson, helped him by pacing him during the race.
This is a big deal because the record had stood for over 28 years.
Josh has been having a great indoor season, setting another world best in the 600m short track just seven weeks ago.
He is now the second-fastest indoor 800m runner of all time.
Another American, Hobbs Kessler, also set a world best in the 2000m short track event during the same meet.
