Omar Abdullah: Parliament Logjam May Ease After Amit Shah's Statement

People who make laws for India meet in a big building called Parliament.

Lately, their meetings have been very loud because some members keep shouting and protesting.

This kind of standstill is called a logjam, because things get stuck like logs blocking a river.

A leader named Omar Abdullah said things might get better soon.

He said the Home Minister, a very important minister named Amit Shah, will make a statement that could answer people's questions.

There were questions about protests at a place called Jantar Mantar and about how student demonstrations were handled.

Another minister, Kiren Rijiju, said the government is ready to talk if the other team lets them speak without shouting.

Omar Abdullah warned that if the shouting continues, ordinary people will not be happy, because they expect Parliament to do its job.

He also said protests in a state called Jharkhand should stay peaceful.
