IAEA: Iran's Uranium Stockpile Increased Before Israel Strike
The IAEA reported Iran increased its stockpile of uranium enriched close to weapons-grade.
This increase occurred just before an Israeli military strike on Iran in June 2025.
The IAEA can't fully inspect the nuclear sites, so they're concerned.
Iran increased their stockpile by 32.3 kg from May to June 2025.
Experts believe a small amount of the 60% enriched uranium could produce a bomb if enriched further.
The IAEA is worried because they haven’t been able to check the stockpile for over two months.
Iran has also stopped some cooperation with the IAEA after the strike.
IAEA reported Iran increased its uranium enriched to near weapons-grade levels before an Israeli strike in June 2025.
Iran's 60% enriched uranium stockpile totaled 440.9 kilograms as of June 13, 2025.
The increase was 32.3 kilograms since the previous report in May.
IAEA inspectors have had difficulty verifying the stockpile for over two and a half months.
Iran suspended all cooperation with the IAEA on July 2, 2025.
