Director Recalls CBFC Demands in Yogi Adityanath Biopic
A movie about Yogi Adityanath, a famous leader, faced challenges with the people who approve movies.
The film's director said the board wanted to make a lot of changes.
They asked for many cuts and wanted permission from Yogi Adityanath.
The director explained they wanted to show how someone from a small village became a leader.
One actor said that a scene was cut because it might hurt women's feelings.
The board argued the film contained obscenity and could be defamatory, but the court found neither and ordered the film be released.
The director is now exploring digital distribution.
Director Ravindra Gautam discussed issues with the film "Ajey: The Untold Story Of A Yogi".
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) demanded 29 cuts to the film.
The CBFC also requested a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Yogi Adityanath.
The Bombay High Court directed the CBFC to clear the film without any cuts.
The director is considering OTT platforms for distribution.
