US Candy Maker Recalls Chocolates Over Undeclared Nuts
A candy company accidentally put the wrong labels on some of its chocolate bars.
The Peanut Butter Crush bars had cashews inside, but the label didn't say so.
The Cashew Cow bars had peanuts inside, but their labels also didn't mention peanuts.
This is a problem for people who are allergic to nuts.
The company mixed up the candy bars on the production line, causing the labeling error.
They have fixed the problem and are asking people to return the bars for a refund or throw them away if they have nut allergies.
This kind of mistake can be very dangerous for some people.
Zingerman's Candy Manufactory has recalled 156 Peanut Butter Crush Bars and 78 Cashew Cow Bars.
The recall is due to a labeling error that failed to declare the presence of nuts.
Peanut Butter Crush Bars contained cashews, and Cashew Cow Bars contained peanuts, which were not listed on their packaging.
The affected products were sold in Michigan and New York.
Consumers with nut allergies are urged to avoid the products and return them for a refund.
