Bengaluru Prison Bakery Trains Inmates and Generates Government Revenue
Bengaluru Central Prison has opened a bakery called Nava Sankalpa Bakery.
Prison inmates will learn how to make bakery products there.
The products may be sold to people outside the prison.
This can earn money for the government.
It can also give inmates skills for finding work after they are released.
A mobile bakery will sell products at places such as courts and bus stands.
Officials said trained inmates will receive certificates.
Prison Director General Alok Kumar also checked the prison’s security sections.
