Northern Arc plans to raise Rs 10,000-11,000 crore this year

Northern Arc Capital is a company that lends money to people and small businesses.

The company wants to borrow more money this year so it can lend even more.

Last year it raised 8,000 crore rupees, and this year it wants to raise between 10,000 and 11,000 crore rupees.

The company's CEO, Ashish Mehrotra, says lending will grow by about 25 percent overall.

Loans to consumers, small businesses, and people in villages will grow even faster, by more than 30 percent.

The company gets money from banks in India and from big international lenders.

Around 30 percent of its borrowed money comes from international lenders, usually for four or five years at a time.

The company has been earning more from its loans, with its interest profit growing from 5.5 percent to 9.4 percent in five years.

It wants to grow carefully so it does not make mistakes with loans.
