HIPSA Plans to Expand Pravasi Sports After GI-PKL Success
Imagine a group called HIPSA that wants to bring Indian sports to people living outside of India, called Pravasi.
They started with a Kabaddi league, which was a big hit!
Now, they want to include other sports like cricket, so more Pravasi people can play and learn about their culture.
The goal is to show off Indian sports to the world and help young Indian people connect with their heritage by playing sports together.
They hope this will make them proud of their roots and bring people together.
HIPSA plans to expand its 'Pravasi Sports' program after the success of the Global Indian Pravasi Kabaddi League (GI-PKL).
Pravasi Sports aims to introduce Indian indigenous sports to the global diaspora.
The program seeks to connect Pravasi youth with their cultural heritage through sports.
HIPSA president Kanthi D Suresh said Pravasi Sports honors roots while celebrating global talent.
The initiative will include the Global Pravasi Cricket League (GPCL) alongside GI-PKL Season 2.
