Drishyam 3 Release Cuts Hanuman Ansh Shows, But Audience Remains

Hanuman Ansh is a spiritual film about Neem Karoli Baba that had been playing in cinemas for many weeks.

Drishyam 3 opened in India on October 2 and attracted many viewers.

After it opened, cinemas showed Hanuman Ansh less often, and its collection fell compared with the day before.

Even so, many people who watched Hanuman Ansh attended its remaining shows.

Its earnings rose again on Sunday, October 4.

Drishyam 3 earned much more in its first three days.

The films are different in size, genre, budget and cast, so their box-office numbers are not a like-for-like comparison.

The article says the films' Monday performance would provide a further indication of how they were doing.
